Blog Orders

Well, the time has come to temporarily stop taking blog orders! I have a wait list now until September 6 and then I will need to start slowly working on my holiday Christmas cards. Not to mention, our fall is SOOOO busy with football games and other activities. So, I will need to stop taking blog orders for a few months. I have been doing a lot of blogs lately and love it...but since they take the most time, I need to step back from those this fall. I will re-open the blog shop after the new year.

I am STILL taking card/invitation etc orders!

I'm linking up to Kelly's Korner show us your life series today! I love my little side business that I have had for a year now:) It has been so much fun for me to makeover blogs and create custom invitations or cards. I have loved learning how to do this as I have NO background in graphic design.

My most recent favorite thing is to do a birthday bundle. I will create a birthday invitation for you and then create favor tags, and cupcake toppers to match. The tags and toppers will be sent to you in a pdf file so that you can print them yourself on white cardstock (or send them to Kinkos to print). It's a great way to get that custom matching looks for your child's birthday. You can just email me for pricing and if you have any questions.

This mom wanted custom thank you notes to match so I created this jpef file and put it into a pdf file that she was able to take to office depot/kinkos and get them to print it out onto white cardstock. Then she was able to buy white envelopes at Hobby Lobby!

New Layout and New Blogs

So, I have changed the look of this site again:)! I now have some tabs at the top that will hopefully help things be more easily found! Seriously, I really do love this little business. I have been doing a big variety of things here lately and it's been so fun. In addition to blogs and invites, I did a few little notecards for a friend to give as birthday gifts. Sadly, I forgot to take a picture but they were so cute. I also helped a sweet friend make her adoption profile to be looked at and read by potential birth mothers. That was awesome and I am so excited for them to be adding to their family. As I worked on each page, I just prayed that the Lord would already be working in a pregnant girl's heart to chose them to adopt her child!!!

So here are a few snippets of things I've done lately...

My friend Lindsey and her sister have started a new business and I helped create a site for them to sell their SUPER cute monogrammed and embroidered stuff. I think the digital kit they chose is my favorite kit ever!!! The colors are so pretty. Seriously, check it out as you begin buying your kids spring clothes!!! They are still getting their site all set up, but keep checking back for more inventory! I also made them tags to pin to their products and business cards to match. So fun!

Hard at Work!

Well, orders are coming in like hotcakes!!! Seriously, I am loving that so many people are wanting blog makeovers. I haven't even had a chance to do a giveaway, because I wouldn't even get to the blog for a month!!! Thanks for all the business so far! Right now there is a wait list until February 15! And in case you didn't realize, the buttons to the left of this blog are all clickable and the one that says BLOG DESIGN INFO will take you to my prices and packages.

I hope that everyone had a fabulous holiday season celebrating Christmas!!! We sure did, but I am kind of glad to be starting a fresh new year and getting back into our normal schedule.

I had a blast doing Christmas Cards during the months of November and December, but I sure did miss doing blog makeovers! I'm exciting to now be back open for business. You can click on the Blog Design Info button to the right for more info on pricing and the process.

One thing I am going to implement this year is I am going to limit myself to doing 2-3 blogs a month. So, in some instances if I get a lot of orders there may be a bit of wait time for your blog. Of course, I will also be accepting any type of card/invitation orders as well!!!

PRINTING PRICES
$20 - 25 photo cards that include white envelopes

$30 - 25 press printed cards in a linen finish that also include white envelopes and have the possibility of being 2 sided

$75 - 75 press printed cards with envelopes

If you decide you want me to print your cards, then the design fee will only be $12 instead of $15. The deadline to order with me printing them is December 1. You can order any of my designs below. OR you can request a custom design, but I am only going to take 5 custom orders and the deadline will be November 20 for those.

$15 for a high quality 5 x 7 jpeg file
you can then take your picture to Wal-mart, Costco, Sams...wherever you choose and get them printed. I just did some samples at Wal-mart and they came out great! I would definitely not do 1 hour as that is more expensive ($1.50 per print). You can upload your jpeg file and choose to wait a few days and it's a lot cheaper.
the other option is to possibly order through me as I have become a client now of a great online printing company who has pretty good prices. I am still learning about it all, but as you order your cards we can talk more about this option.
If you want to order, send me an email and the pictures you want on the card and you will have your file within 1-2 days. Make sure the picture you send me is not cropped or edited in any way as that can affect the quality. I can do some cropping and editing if needed.

The Holidays are Approaching!

So with the holidays quickly approaching, I am probably going to start focusing most of my time on cards. If you want a blog makeover I will accept new orders until the end of October and then will resume in January. Most of November and December will be devoted to card orders as well as local photo shoots in the Tuscaloosa area. My friend Carlley and I are going to devote 2-3 Saturdays in November to have 20 minute photo shoots with probably about 10 slots per Saturday for families wishing to get their Christmas picture taken. We will then give you the proofs on a cd and you will have the option to also place an order for a Holiday Card. I will let you know more details as we decide on price, location, and times.

I am working on several more layouts right now and will release all my Christmas Card designs in the next week or so. Because I am a stay at home mom I will probably have to limit how many I do this first season so you may want to be thinking about your options and if you want to place an order! I will accept custom design orders as well, but probably only 5-8 and that will be a first come first serve basis when I announce that I am taking orders. I will also give you more details on printing and what your options are once you receive your jpeg image of the card.

I'm excited about the holidays! Designing cards is something I have seriously wanted to do for a long time so this is really fun for me to finally be launching my dreams!!!

I'm a 30 something stay at home mama to 3 little ones. Samuel is 7, Ellie Kate is 3, and Abigail is 1. I have always loved doing crafty things and just recently got into photography and editing. A few years ago, I became somewhat addicted to fooling around with my personal blog layout. I'm sure I annoyed my loyal readers by changing things around so much. I helped a few friends "makeover" their blogs and then in the summer of 2009 after purchasing photoshop elements, I decided to start a new little business of making over blogs and designing christmas cards, birth announcements, birthday invitations, etc. I have absolutely NO formal training in graphic design or computer science. Everything I do, I have just taught myself and am always googling to learn more!
